SYNOPSIS -A REAL CHALLENGE!

So far this year I have five students, all from Sra. Calvar.  Synopsis seems to be the current challenge.  The comments I usually get are:  I know the verbs by heart, but... WHAT DO THEY MEAN?  HOW CAN I USE THEM?  Imagine that... So... here it is folks:

Presente: Yo estudio ahora.                                              I study now.
Pretérito: Él estudió ayer.                                                 He studied yesterday
Imperfecto: Tú estudiabas siempre por la noche.                You used to study at night always.
Pres. Prog: Estamos estudiando para el examen               We are studying for the test.
Imp. Prog: Yo estaba estudiando cuando llamaste             I was studying when you called.
Pres. Perf: Tú has estudiado estos verbos antes.              You have studied these verbs before.
Plusperf: Ella había estudiado esto en el sexto grado.       She had studied this in sixth grade.
Fut Cerc: Ellos van a estudiar más.                                 They’re going to study more.
Futuro: Yo estudiaré después, ahora no puedo.                 I will study later, I can't right now.
Cond: Tú estudiarías si tuvieras más tiempo.                    You would study if you had more time.
Mandatos tú: ¡estudia!  ¡no estudies!                                Study!  Don't study!
Usted: ¡(No) Estudie, señor!                                             (Don't) study, sir!

Ustedes: ¡(No) Estudien, muchachas!                              (Don’t) study, girls!
Nosotros: ¡(No) estudiemos!                                             Let's (not) study!
