Tutoring Spanish

I started tutoring ten years ago after teaching  Spanish in the public school system.  After I moved in with my mother, following my father's death, it was the ideal work for someone who also needed to look after a parent.  I used to receive students in my office but, after my son moved out, moved into the bonus room above the garage, his bedroom, and created quite a spacey nook for my sessions.  I started with elementary students and a few high schoolers, now I'm concentrating only on high-school Spanish, apart from two middle-school children and the odd college student.  It has been a great experience so far, to have these young people coming in and out.   Making them feel at ease in a relaxed atmosphere with no peer pressure they can vent frustrations with the language and start gaining confidence in their ability to master it.  Working with young people keeps me young at heart and always on my toes.
